The coroner’s office has identified the man killed as 46-year-old Todd Gomez. The cause of death remains under investigation.

A man was found dead near a Dayton intersection Monday morning and police are investigating the incident as a homicide, according to investigators.
Police and medics were first called to the area of Stanford Place and Harold Drive around 8:30 a.m. Monday on reports of a person down.
According to emergency scanner traffic, a waste collection worker found the man in the street covered in blood.
Additional details about the investigation were not released by police on scene. However police are expected to provide a statement on the investigation later today.
An investigator from the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office assisted in the investigation.
