Miami County teen jailed on nearly 20 sex-related charges

WEST MILTON — A West Milton man remains booked in the Miami County Jail after he was arrested on 19 sex related crimes Saturday.

Drayden Sanders, 19, made an initial court appearance Monday in Miami County Municipal Court after he was charged with rape, gross sexual imposition, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

During the hearing bond was set at $300,000.

Sanders’ next court appearance was set for July 30.

These incidents were reported on June 13th and are said to have happened between June 1st and June 13th.

Police were preparing to submit the case to the prosecuter’s office when in a follow up interview, Sanders was arrested.

“Over the weekend the officers were able to re-interview him. He made some admissions along with what the statements were with the victims as well as some potential witnesses to this whole incident,” said Lt. Doyle Wright of West Milton PD.

Sanders has a long history with police with a variety of incidents.

A report from October 2019, three 12-year-old girls said Sanders would not leave them alone and he touched them inappropriately. Another report from April 2020 said he trespassed at a park and was found with 2 kids, ages 11 and 12.
