UPDATE: Man in critical condition after shooting at Huffman Avenue home; 1 in custody

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 8:50 a.m.:

A man has been hospitalized and is in critical condition after a shooting at a home on Huffman Avenue in Dayton Friday morning, according to police.

Units were called to the 1000 block of Huffman Avenue, near Linden Avenue, around 7:50 a.m. Friday.

Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to his leg after getting into an altercation with another person at the home. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition, police said.

One person has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting.

Officers are on the scene of a shooting reported at a house on Huffman Avenue in Dayton Friday morning.

Police and medics responded to the 1000 block of Huffman Avenue around 7:50 a.m. after the incident was reported.

Reports indicate the victim was taken to an area hospital, however their condition was not immediately known.
