UPDATE: Missing Springfield woman identified as person found dead in Springfield house

SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 10:12 p.m.:

The Springfield Police Division say they located a deceased female inside a house on North Douglas Avenue Wednesday morning.

According to police, the woman was identified as Gloria Dickenson, a 56-year-old Springfield woman who had been missing since September.

INITIAL REPORT:

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has been called to respond to a North Douglas Avenue house where police were conducting a search warrant Wednesday morning, Springfield police said.

Officers have been at the house in the first block of North Douglas Avenue, north of East Main Street, since about 9 a.m., Springfield police confirmed to News Center 7. However, the nature and reason for the investigation was not available for release.

There were multiple people dressed in white jumpsuits seen going in and out of the house.
