HUBER HEIGHTS — UPDATE (4:35 P.M.)
Huber Heights Police released on Facebook the photos of the two suspects in Thursday’s armed robbery at the Family Dollar store in Huber Heights.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male with a beard, in black pants, with black Adidas tennis shoes, a blue hoodie jacket, and camo hat wearing a white cloth mask across his chin, according to a news release. Police describe the second suspect as a light skinned black male with facial hair in gray sweats, blue hoodie jacket, army green baseball hat, and a blue paper masks.
Both suspects entered the store together and the dark-skinned suspect got in line to act like he was checking out when the light skinned suspect came behind the counter point a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk, according to Huber Heights police.
The light skinned suspect made the clerk open both registers so he could remove the cash and both suspects fled on foot.

INITIAL STORY
A K-9 officer was requested to help police search for suspects after an armed robbery at the Family Dollar store in Huber Heights Thursday afternoon, according to initial reports.

Officers were called to the Family Dollar at 5958 Old Troy Pike around 4 p.m. after the robbery was reported, police scanner traffic indicates.
A Huber Heights police spokesperson confirmed to News Center 7 the department is investigating an armed robbery and are searching for two men who are considered suspects.
An initial police investigation found the two robbers entered the store, pulled out a handgun, and took cash from the registers, the police spokesperson said. Both robbers ran from the scene and the search for the suspect was continuing.
