HUBER HEIGHTS — UPDATE @ 12:45 p.m. (Aug. 25):
A Huber Heights police officer injured in a crash on I-70 last week involving a vehicle fleeing from state troopers has been released from the hospital.

Officer Nick Lambert was discharged after receiving treatment at Miami Valley Hospital for injuries sustained in the incident Aug. 21.
Michael Geletzke, 50, of Corning, Ohio was identified by investigators as the suspected driver that led state troopers on a pursuit on westbound I-70 through Clark County.
Troopers said Geletzke hit the Huber Heights police cruiser, injuring the Lambert, less than 10 miles after the patrol stopped chasing him.
Geletzke is no longer listed as an inmate in the Montgomery County Jail.
FIRST REPORT (Aug. 21):
A 50-year-old man is in jail after he was accused of fleeing from troopers and crashing into a Huber Heights police cruiser on I-70 Thursday.
Michael Geletzke, of Corning, Ohio, was booked into jail for OVI and other charges from the pursuit are still pending, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Geletzke hit the Huber Heights police cruiser, injuring the officer, less than 10 miles after the patrol stopped chasing him. He had sped off from troopers near State Route 72 in Springfield when they tried to pull him over for a traffic violation, the patrol said.
Emergency scanner traffic indicated Geletzke’s vehicle was at one time traveling over 100 mph and on the shoulders of the highway.
Huber Heights Officer Nick Lambert was hurt in the crash and taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he is listed in good condition, a hospital spokewoman said.
Investigators said alcohol/drug use are suspected in the crash.
The highway was backed up for a couple of hours while crews investigated the crash on I-70.
