BELLEVUE, KY — Several Kroger stores in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky were evacuated Saturday over reported bomb threats.

>>4 arrested, over $1,300 in stolen merchandise recovered in Springfield

K9s from both the Cincinnati Police and Northern Kentucky University Police Departments responded to one around 10:50 a.m., according to the Bellevue Kentucky Police Department’s Facebook page.

Customers and workers had to wait outside until the evacuation order was lifted.

The officers checked, cleared, and reopened the store.

Police believe these threats were false alarms and part of a nationwide hoax that has been going on for months.

Police and Kroger officials are working with the FBI.
