Woman, on fire, jumps from Butler County apartment window; Police arrest male

FAIRFIELD TWP., Butler County — UPDATE @ 9:30 p.m.: A woman believed to have been on fire when she jumped from a second-story apartment window in Butler County on Thursday morning remains in critical condition at a hospital in Cincinnati.

Police arrested a man who lives at the same address and he remained in the Butler County Jail on Thursday night, Fairfield Twp. police said.

The woman, whose name and age have not been released, was found about 10:25 a.m. lying in the backyard of an apartment building in the 2600 block of Arroyo Ridge in the township, Fairfield Twp. police Sgt. Brandon McCroskey said in a prepared statement.

Police and firefighters had been sent to the address on the report of a house fire and the woman, the sergeant said.

The woman was suffering from multiple injuries as well as severe burns to her body. She was taken by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was listed in critical condition, Sgt. McCroskey said.

“It’s one that makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck, I don’t care how long you’ve been doing it,” McCroskey told our news partner WCPO.com.

Investigators also told WCPO the woman jumped from the second-story window while she was on fire.

Robbi Davon Robinson Jr., 23, who resides at the same address as the woman, was arrested and booked into the Butler County Jail on charges of aggravated arson and assault. Both are felonies, according to police.

The Fairfield Twp. Police Department is continuing its investigation and is working in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Commerce Fire & Explosion Investigations Bureau, the township fire department and the Butler County Arson Task Force.
