SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 1:55 p.m.:
A 3-year-old child has died after they were shot on Clay Street in Springfield Tuesday afternoon, police dispatchers confirmed to News Center 7.
The identity of the child has not been released pending notification of family.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, however dispatchers said officers are not currently looking for any suspects.
Investigators from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have responded to the scene, according to our crew.

Officers and medics have been requested after a juvenile was found suffering from a gunshot wound in Springfield Tuesday afternoon, according to initial reports.

The incident was first reported as a medic call in the 1800 block of Clay Street around 12:35 p.m. A medic unit that arrived on scene requested police after finding a juvenile shot, emergency scanner traffic indicates.
The condition of the victim wasn’t immediately known.
