According to a 911 call obtained by News Center 7, a family member called 911 to report Mims had been killed by a woman and that the woman was attempting to kill herself.

When police got to the scene, the woman was still in the vehicle with Mims.

“The female was trying to ingest bleach, so the officers forced their way into the car to prevent the female from causing additional harm to herself,” said Dayton Police Sgt. Mike Godsey. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she is in stable condition, police said.

No arrests were listed in the police incident report and Godsey said police will present the case to the prosecutor’s office for consideration of charges.
