Dayton police investigate child porn claim at Belmont H.S.

The report came to emergency dispatchers through a non-emergency phone call from a security officer at the Wayne Avenue school.

A teacher took action after learning of the allegation from a student.

“I was informed of a memo into an incident yesterday about a student that allegedly showed a couple kids at the school child pornography,” the man said in the phone call. “A student gave it to a teacher yesterday afternoon and she wrote a letter saying the student showed her an older gentleman touching a kid who looked younger than 10 or 11 to them.”

Dayton Public Schools declined comment.

It’s unknown if Dayton police have anyone in custody. We’re awaiting a return call from police.
