The family of Sharon Post, of Celina, who was murdered 23 years ago, is fighting to keep Gary Schulte from being released from prison.
Post was murdered in August 1993 inside her Williamsburg Square Apartments in Celina.
News Center 7’s Steve Baker will have more starting at 5 p.m. from the daughter of Post, as well as reaction from a relative of Schulte, whom has a parole hearing next week.
The family of Post want the parole board to deny Schulte’s release, in part because of his history of violence. The family has been circulating a petition to keep him in prison, said Leigh Ann Post-Taylor, daughter of the victim.
Susan Richardson, sister of Schulte, says “Gary is fully 100 percent sorry for what he did. He has served his time. He was a model prisoner. It’s time to forgive and move on.”
