DAYTON — Demonstrations were executed around the Miami Valley this weekend in response to the death of George Floyd.
One protest that took place Sunday in Richmond, Indiana, remained peaceful as several hundred people marched through the streets with the help of the Richmond Police Department, according to our partners at Kicks 96.
A tweet from the President of Earlham College, Anne Houtman, shows a crowd moving throughout the city.
Large crowd for a small town. Everyone peaceful. #RichmondIN pic.twitter.com/KqPe2cWf30

Richmond wasn’t the only city participating in protests over the weekend, however.
A video from Twitter shows a protest that took place in Celina, Ohio.
This is happening right now in my hometown of Celina, Ohio.

This is a town that is VERY white, VERY conservative & VERY Pro-Trump.
My family has never protested a thing in their lives...this gives me such hope! I’m in tears. 😢#BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/5rkrUYHBjn
