George Floyd protests: Roads remain blocked near downtown Dayton Sunday afternoon

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 7:10 p.m.

Road closures, which cleared in some areas throughout the day, are now again being reported.

INITIAL REPORT @ 1:28 p.m.

Many roadways leading to the downtown area of Dayton have remained closed Sunday afternoon after an evening of protests that eventually led to a 9 p.m. curfew for the city.

The curfew was lifted at 6 a.m. Sunday, but travel may still be difficult for some with city maintenance trucks and cruisers blocking area streets.

It is currently unclear when police will begin to reopen the roads and allow for a normal flow of traffic.
