Hocking Hills State Park Lodge Damaged in Fire

A Hocking Hills State Park lodge building was damaged in a fire today, reports 10-TV in Columbus.

Around 9 a.m. Thursday, Hocking County firefighters battled smoke and flames from a large fire at the state park dining lodge.

The Hocking Hills Dining Hall is located on Ohio 664 near Old Man's Cave in Logan, Ohio.

The building was not open to the public at the time and there are no reports of injuries.

Twenty five trucks were called to the scene from four different departments.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, who owns the restaurant, says the dining hall is currently undergoing renovation and there were construction workers inside who saw smoke, according to 10-TV.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. No damage estimate is available yet.
