It will feel like summer for the “unofficial” start of summer this year! Highs will climb into the 80s. This may make you want to head out and do some boating, canoeing, or kayaking!

Forecast on Land:

It will be hot and muggy with temperatures in the 80s. Saturday will feature the driest time but Sunday and Monday for the late afternoon, some sudden downpours or pop-up storms could occur. This could bring the threat of lightning during those late afternoons, so stay weather aware.

In the Water:

According to some sensors from the United States Geological Survey the Great Miami River, Stillwater River and Caesar Creek have water temperatures in the 50s. According to the National Center for Cold Water Safety, when the water is below 77 degrees, it can create breathing problems if you are in the water. Make sure to stay safe on the water and wear protective gear like a wet suit or dry suit if you are not comfortable with the cold water.
