The Hub unveiled at The Arcade

DAYTON, Ohio — PNC Bank and the University of Dayton gave the media a walk-through tour of The Hub, which is an center designed to provide space for those who are looking to be creative and launch new innovative ideas.

Vince Lewis, president of The Hub Powered by PNC Bank and director of UD’s Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, along with Scott Koorndyk, president of Entrepreneur’s Center and executive vice president of The Hub provided the media with the walk-through tour.

Innovation Hall was designed to be key to The Hub and provides offices of the Entrepreneurs’ Center and a satellite office for the Greater West Dayton Incubator to drive equitable access and inclusion.

The Square is an area that overlooks the iconic rotunda of the Arcade. This section is designed to allow students and entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate.

The GEM is a learning space designed to connect the University of Dayton and the city of Dayton with a community-centered focus on social innovation.

Officials said The Hub is 95,000-square-feet of space and is one of the largest university-anchored innovation spaces in the country. It features shared and private office space, meeting rooms, along with conference areas and retail pop-up opportunities.

There are also learning labs and classrooms as part of The Hub. And, The Hub also features a café with a menu that is intentionally created by the Greater West Dayton Incubator to feature underrepresented entrepreneurs.
