Deputies: Armed robbery attempt unsuccessful at Harrison Twp. convenience store

HARRISON TWP. — A man who attempted to rob a Harrison Twp. convenience store at gunpoint Sunday evening left empty-handed but remains on the run, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the Quick Mart at 3503 West Siebenthaler Avenue just after 6 p.m. Sunday on reports of an armed robbery at the business.

Investigators said a man wearing a red winter coat entered the store and displayed a handgun and demanded cash. However nothing was taken from the store during the robbery and no injuries were reported, deputies said in a media release.

A K9 unit was called to attempt to track the robber but did not locate him.

Persons with information that could help investigators are urged to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers.
