MIAMI/MONTGOMERY COUNTIES — One person was arrested after a multi-county police chase Monday night, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Piqua Post trooper.

An OSHP sergeant tried to pull over a driver on Interstate 75 South near Tipp City before 10:30 p.m.

The trooper said the driver initially pulled over but then drove away. The chase started just after.
The driver went south on I-75 into Montgomery County. Initial reports indicate that they eventually got onto US-35 East
OSHP Aviation unit was overhead and tracked the car to a church parking lot on E Fourth Street and Columbus Street.
Dayton police officers arrested the driver around 10:50 p.m. and transferred custody to the state patrol, according to the trooper on scene.
The driver was taken to the Miami County Jail. News Center 7 is working to learn their identity.
The trooper said the driver’s license was suspended and nothing was found in the car.
No one was injured in this chase.
