“Just prior to the crash, the city of Riverside and the city of Dayton received a call of a wrong-way driver, within 10 to 15 seconds later, the city of Riverside got a second call about the crash here on Route 4 at Harshman,” Hess said.

On scene, Riverside police determined that a Sedan was the vehicle involved in both calls.

Hess said the driver of the Sedan was pronounced dead on scene.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office responded shortly after.

The other driver was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to be okay.

The northbound lanes of State Route Four were closed beyond N Keowee Street for more than 2 hours.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.
