DAYTON — One person died and several people were injured after a car crashed into a pole in Dayton Sunday overnight.

Dayton Police and Fire responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Cambridge Avenue and Salem Avenue at 1:34 a.m., Montgomery County Regional Dispatch confirmed.
When officers and firefighters arrived, they found several people injured and one person dead after a vehicle crashed into a pole, dispatch informed.
Medics were dispatched to treat the injured. Following their care at the scene, they were transported to Miami Valley Hospital for further treatment. The severity of their conditions were not available at the time of questioning.
Dayton Police led the investigation into the crash.
