DAYTON — Police are investigating a shooting near a Dayton apartment building that left one person injured.

The shooting was reported in the 300 block of Superior Avenue shortly after 4 p.m.

As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, police arrived on scene to find a male suffering from a gunshot wound. That person was taken to a hospital. His injuries were said to be non-life-threatening, Dayton Sgt. Creigee S. Coleman said.
The victim told police a person he didn’t know shot him. Coleman noted that the investigation of the incident is continuing.
