PIQUA — One person has been taken to the hospital following an accident on Southbound Interstate 75 approaching Piqua late Friday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched around 3:47 p.m. on Southbound I-75 near the 85 Mile Marker
A 2019 Tesla T3 was travelling southbound when it sideswiped a 2013 Toyota Camry and went off the roadway, striking a culvert, a spokesman told News Center 7.
Thomas Wallace, 24 of Troy, drove the Tesla and was transported by medics to Upper Valley Medical with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
He was extricated from the vehicle, according to dispatchers.
James Washburn, 67 of Owosso, Michigan, was the driver of the Toyota but was not hurt.
Speed by the Tesla is believed to be a factor, the spokesperson said.
The crash remains under investigation.
