DAYTON — One person was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Dayton late Saturday night.
Montgomery County Regional dispatch confirmed crews responded to the cross of North Patterson Boulevard and East Third Street around 11:18 p.m. on the report of a vehicle hitting two people riding a scooter.

According to the crash report, a 25-year-old woman stated she was driving west on East Third Street in the first lane from the north curb with a green light and when at North Patterson Blvd. struck the scooter in the crosswalk.
The people on the scooter told police they were driving north on Patterson Blvd. in the crosswalk with the crosswalk symbol and was struck by the driver of the vehicle traveling west on E. Third Street.
The driver of the scooter was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries, according to a crash incident report. The other person on the scooter was reportedly uninjured and was not taken to the hospital. The driver was not injured.
No citation was issued due to conflicting statements, according to the crash report.
