1 taken to hospital after vehicle crashes into Harrison Twp. home

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — One person was taken to the hospital after a vehicle hit a home in Harrison Township early Monday.

Shortly after midnight, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of Fleetwood Drive on a report of a car into a house, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, deputies found that a pickup truck had missed the turn in the road, traveled through a guard rail in the front yard of the neighboring house, over two landscape boulders, and came to rest against the south side of the house.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

No one inside of the house was injured.

The sheriff’s office says the driver was cited.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
