Firefighters told WOIO that a five-year-old child got off the ice and heard a scream. When he turned around, he saw his brother in the water.
A neighbor called 911 for help.
Good was underwater for about 10 minutes before first responders got to the scene, but it’s unclear how long he was in the water before he was recovered by a dive team, WOIO reported.
Once he was recovered, dive team members performed CPR. Good was taken to Aultman Orrville Hospital before being transferred to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he later died.
Good’s death was ruled as accidental by the medical examiner.
