$175k in narcotics seized in Montgomery Co. raids connected to investigation into drug operation
MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Tactical Crime Suppression Unit (TSCU) is releasing its findings from several search warrants conducted at Montgomery County locations last week.
A six month long joint investigation involving the regional TSCU and Warren County Drug Task force into a suspected marijuana operation led to several search warrants being conducted Thursday in Dayton, Kettering, Miamisburg and West Carrollton.
John Davis, TCSU Public Information Officer told News Center 7′s Mike Campbell Thursday that agents hit the six locations in Montgomery County “relatively simultaneously.”
TSUC said Tuesday that over 70 pounds of suspected marijuana, 8,000 THC cartridges for vaping devices, 10 pounds of Hash, four guns and electronic devices and documentation related to the suspected criminal enterprise were seized when the search warrants were conducted.
TSCU officials said the street value of the illicit narcotics seized was $175,000.
No arrests have been made at this time. TSCU officials said in a release that they are expected to make arrests once the active investigation has been completed.
In addition to officers from TCSU and Warren County, state troopers, Dayton police, Riverside police, Kettering police, Greene County ACE Task Force and the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office were all involved in the searches Thursday.
