The Ohio State Highway Patrol says there were two fatal crashes this Christmas.

The reporting period started Tuesday, Dec. 23 at midnight and ended midnight Wednesday, Dec. 25, OSHP says.

During this two-day period, troopers arrested 44 people for impaired driving and 11 others for illegal drugs, troopers say.
Eighty-four people were issued citations for seatbelt violations and 34 people were cited for distracted driving.
Troopers assisted 434 motorists throughout Ohio, according to OSHP.
For 2023′s holiday reporting period, which lasted four days, 12 people were killed in crashes in Ohio. Troopers would like to remind the public to report dangerous drivers by using #677.
