WAYNE LAKES AREA, Darke County — Two people were taken to hospitals Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash near the Wayne Lakes Area south of Greenville, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office reports.

A 2007 Buick sedan failed to yield on westbound Hollansburg-Sampson Road at state Route 121 and traveled into the path of a maroon 2023 Nissan Rogue.
The collision caused the Nissan to strike the Buick, according to the preliminary investigation.
The Nissan’s driver was taken to Wayne HealthCare, suffering from minor injuries.
The Buick’s driver was taken to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office by Tri-Village Rescue where he was transferred to MedFlight and airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition was unknown Thursday night.
The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation of the accident.
