One worker was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by ground ambulance and the other was taken to Troy Hospital. The conditions of both victims were not immediately known.
An online DP&L outage map shows only six outages in Miami County, after the incident initially knocked out power to nearly 2,100 people.
Witnesses of the incident reported a loud explosion just moments before making 911 calls.
“There was just a big boom. I need a squad here immediately. Someone is hurt,” a woman who called 911 said in the call.
Previously, a DP&L spokesperson said crews were assessing the incident, but additional details were not released.
