1 hospitalized with life threatening injuries after person hit by car in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — One person is in the hospital after an accident involving a pedestrian in Harrison Township Tuesday evening.

Crews were called to the area of East Nottingham Road and North Main Street at 7:13 p.m. on reports of a person struck by a vehicle, according to a spokesperson from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered Harrison Township Fire crews attending to an unresponsive male lying in the roadway.

A preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian ran across East Nottingham Road, from north to south, as a red pick-up truck approached, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

The truck was traveling eastbound on East Nottingham Road, approximately 100 yards east of North Main Street.

The pedestrian was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Video shows crime scene tape around the area of the crash and cruisers blocking the roadway.

The crash remains under investigation.
