BELLEFONTAINE, Logan County — A 23-year-old is dead after a shooting in Logan County on Christmas Eve, according to Bellefontaine Chief of Police Christopher Marlow.

Bellefontaine police and medics were called to the 200 N Detroit St. on reports of a shooting at approximately 10:22 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Nathaniel Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Jones was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital, where he died.
Marlow said a 15-year-old boy was arrested and is being held on criminal charges related to Jones’ death.
This shooting remains under investigation.
