3 area cities win annual OCMA award for Intergovernmental Cooperation for the Fire Collaborative

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — This month the annual Ohio City/County Management Association “OCMA” Awards for Intergovernmental Cooperation for the Fire Collaborative were given out.

This year three cities in Montgomery County one the award; Clayton, Englewood, and Union.

OCMA promotes and encourages excellence in local government through professional management.

“OCMA’s Annual Awards Program honors communities and administrators for their creative contributions to professional local government management,” the award notification read. “The program strives to increase public awareness of the value of professional local government management.”

The notification says the OCMA gets numerous nominations for the annual awards, especially this year.

OCMA evaluates each nomination using the following criteria:

  • Scope, Importance, and Value of Activity/Contribution
  • Effectiveness Measures
  • Quality of Performance
  • Eligibility: the program must be fully implemented for at least one full year
