DAYTON — Three people were arrested after a large fight in Downtown Dayton on New Year’s Day.

News Center 7 previously reported around 1:41 a.m. officers in Downtown Dayton were called to the large fight in the 450 block of East 3rd Street.

When officers arrived a 34-year-old man was “acting aggressively and screaming loudly,” according to Lt. Randy Beane with Dayton police.
As officers attempted to disperse the crowd they said the man continued to act aggressively and slammed a glass bottle into the side of a building.
After multiple warnings, police took the man into custody.
Two other people who attempted to interfere with officers putting the man in handcuffs were also arrested.
A police report identifies the three arrested as Dion Cochran, Diamond Cochran, and Cassandra Hagler.
According to online jail records, the three are currently not in the Montgomery County Jail’s custody.
