AKRON, Ohio — Three children jumped out a window to escape an apartment fire in Ohio on Monday.

The fire occurred at an apartment building in the 700 block of Druid Walk on the east side of Akron, according to the Akron Fire Department.

Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the flames quickly.
Initial reports indicated that three children, ages 13, 11, and 6, escaped the apartment by climbing out of a second-story window onto an awning and then jumping to the ground, according to the fire department.
No one was injured in this fire.
Medics evaluated the victims until family members arrived on scene.
The Red Cross was contacted to help those impacted.
