3 formally charged after man shows up at hospital with gunshot wound

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Three people have been formally charged in connection to a shooting in Harrison Township last month.

22-year-old Jermaine Harbor, 37-year-old Jerrell Harbor, and 35-year-old Crystal Carpenter were each indicted on two counts of felonious assault and two counts of aggravated robbery on Dec. 10, according to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas records.

Jerrell Harbor was also indicted on two counts of having weapons under disability.

Court records show that Jermaine Harbor was also indicted on having weapons under disability, discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer charges.

All three people are scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on Dec. 12.

Dayton police were called to Miami Valley Hospital around 4:30 p.m. after a man walked in with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound on Nov. 30.

Authorities learned that the man was shot in the area of Rugby Road and Golfview Avenue.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies found evidence that a shooting occurred in the area, according to a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies later arrested three people, who have since been identified as Jerrell and Jermaine Harbor and Crystal Carpenter.
