COLUMBUS — Supplemental weekly $300 unemployment payments are now on the way to Ohioans and they will continue through March 13.
The new payments were made possible after the passing of the latest stimulus package in late December.
“Each claim is important to us. We understand the urgency of providing Ohioans with the resources they need to support their families,” said Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director Kimberly Henderson. “We worked quickly to align our system with the new requirements, and I am pleased that we can now provide much-needed relief to eligible claimants.”
In addition to the $300 supplemental payments, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, also provided up to an additional 11 weeks of Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation. Programming for the PUA and PEUC payments are still being completed, ODJFS said.
All claimants will receive all of the benefits they are eligible for, retroactive to Dec. 27.
