The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office said the girl created a fake Facebook account and made a post about a bomb being planted inside Clearview High School and Durling Middle School, WOIO, a CBS affiliate in Cleveland, reported.
The post shut the district down and prompted the sheriff’s office, as well as the FBI, to search for a bomb on Thursday. No credible threats were found.

The girl, who attends Vincent’s Elementary, has been charged with inducing panic. On top of having the account traced back to her, authorities also said she admitted to making the threat, as well as another one in September.
Jacob Kyle, a coach at Durling Middle School, was shocked when WOIO told him the person behind the threat was a young girl.
“Seeing these kids and having kids in this school nowadays is, it’s not what you want to hear especially someone that young to have access to that social media,” Kyle said. “It’s very upsetting.”
Community members were surprised that the girl had a Facebook.
“I definitely think parents need to be more involved in social media, third graders shouldn’t even have social media in my opinion,” one middle school mom told WOIO.
The child’s parents have not been charged at this time.
