66-year-old dead after crash in Greene County

BEAVERCREEK TOWNSHIP, Greene County — A 66-year-old is dead after a three-car crash in Greene County Saturday morning, according to a spokesperson from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on US-35 West, east of Alpha Road in Beavercreek Township at approximately 10:27 a.m.

A preliminary investigation found that a 36-year-old driving a Honda Odyssey west on US-35 crashed into the back of two cars, according to the spokesperson.

The Honda first crashed into a Nissan Kicks, driven by Robin Phillips, 66, of Xenia.

The Nissan traveled off the right side of the road.

The Honda continued heading west on US-35 and crashed into the back of a Chevrolet Equinox, which was driven by a 54-year-old.

The Honda then drove off the right side of the road.

Phillips died as a result of this crash, according to the spokesperson.

The driver of the Honda suffered a minor injury and the driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

Troopers suspect drug use contributed to this crash, according to the spokesperson.

This crash remains under investigation.
