SUGARCREEK TWP., Greene County — A property owner has submitted plans that would demolish a home and build 78 new homes at a proposed subdivision off Clyo Road between Possum Run and Feedwire roads.
R.L. Diorio Custom Homes would be the builder of the homes, which would sell for $400,000 to $600,000 for patio style homes and $700,000 and up for estate-style homes, according to the zoning application. The homes would likely be all brick and stone, however if siding was introduced it would be cement board.

Sixty three of the lots would be dedicated to patio-style homes with lot sizes averaging about .20 acre. The remaining 15 lots would be for estate-style homes, which would be about .80 acre.
The preliminary plans were recommended for approval by the Greene County Regional Planning and Coordinating Commission subject to a second access point being provided, a connection made to the trail network and a review of soil building conditions, Sugarcreek Twp. records show.
Current plans show the development being connected to the existing Kensington Drive dead-end and Clyo Road.
The Sugarcreek Twp. Zoning Commission will hold a virtual meeting to discuss the development on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Information on how to attend the virtual meeting is available from the township.
