AAA donating to 9/11 charity in honor of first responders

DAYTON — AAA is expanding its discounted First Responders Membership benefits to those in the AAA Club Alliance territory to pay tribute to those lost on September 11, 2001, according to a news release.

For every first responder or healthcare professional who takes advantage of the discounted Member offer this month, AAA will donate $10 to 9/11 Day, the nationwide charitable organization committed to transforming the tragic anniversary into a, “national day of service,” the release said.

“First responders are selfless in their commitment to the safety and well being of others,” said Scott Lugar, AAA’ Senior Vice President of Membership and Marketing. “Though we acknowledge this daily with our First Responders membership, we felt it important to mark the 9/11 anniversary with more.”

The AAA First Responders Membership is available to all of the following groups:

  • Law enforcement
  • Firefighters
  • Emergency medical technicians
  • 911 dispatchers
  • Medical professionals/healthcare workers

The AAA First Responders Membership includes the following benefits:

  • Waived enrollment fee
  • 50% off Primary Classic or Plus Membership
  • 1 Free Classic or Plus Associate
  • 50% off additional Classic or Plus Associates
  • AAA donation to 9/11 Day
