Aerial photo shows damage to Mercer County field by intoxicated driver

MERCER COUNTY — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office released aerial photos from the area of Brown and Meyer roads after an intoxicated driver caused damage to a field over the weekend.

Deputies used a drone donated to the sheriff’s office to assist in their investigation and determine the scope of damage caused by the driver.

The driver’s identity has not yet been released by the sheriff’s office.

The damage was reported to have occurred on Sunday, the sheriff’s office said.

The drone is also used by the sheriff’s office to investigate crashes and search for missing people.
