KETTERING — An Amazon truck driver was arrested on suspicion of OVI at the McDonald’s on Wilmington Pike last week.

Jesse Lefforge, 34, of Oakwood, faces a single count of OVI, his first offense, according to online court records.

Police responded to the restaurant after receiving a report around noon of a driver in an Amazon truck possibly intoxicated going through the drive-thru of the restaurant, said Kettering Police Lt. Lee Sanders

Amazon is looking into the matter and all packages were delivered with no delays to customers, a spokesperson for Amazon said. The company has not provided an update on Lefforge’s status with the company.

Cruiser camera footage obtained by News Center 7 showed the truck was full of packages and officers asked for Amazon to be contacted.

The footage also shows Lefforge doing a field sobriety test on the sidewalk. The video showed Lefforge unable to keep his balance through most of the tests and within about ten minutes police put him in handcuffs.

A bottle of Montebello also was recovered during the police department’s investigation, according to an incident report.
