AMBER Alert canceled after 2 missing Cleveland children found in Indiana

CLEVELAND — The statewide AMBER Alert issued for two missing Cleveland children was canceled after they were both safely located in Indiana.

News Center 7 previously reported that Nathaniel Lopez, 5 years old, and Gabriel Lopez, 8 months old, were reported missing out of Cuyahoga County, according to the Ohio AMBER Alert website. The incident reportedly took place on West 98th Street in Cleveland.

Nathaniel and Gabriel were described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes.

Christian Elain Salinas and Andrew Jacob Lopez V were identified as persons of interest. They were also suspected to be the missing children’s parents.

Salinas was a 34-year-old female described as 5′1′', 130 pounds, and with brown hair and brown eyes.

Lopez was a 33-year-old male listed as 5′8′', 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and neck tattoos.

They were last seen in a 2001 Red Toyota Solara. The vehicle had a missing passenger side-view mirror and faded paint with a chipping clear-coat.

New information from the Ohio AMBER Alert website listed the missing children as found. They were recovered in Indiana, a spokesperson for the Cleveland Police Department said.

The details surrounding the children’s disappearance and recovery were not disclosed. It is currently unknown if and how the parents were involved in the incident.
