Angela Wagner pleads guilty to conspiracy in Pike County killings

One of the suspects charged in connection to the killings of 8 family members pleaded guilty to charges against her Friday.

Angela Wager pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated murder in the Pike County killings, according to our partners at WCPO.

Eight members of the Rhoden family were found killed in their Pike County homes April 22, 2016.

The murder victims are Hannah Rhoden, 19; her father Christopher Rhoden Sr., 40; his wife, Dana Rhoden, 37; their sons, Christopher Rhoden Jr., 16, and Clarence “Frankie” Rhoden, 20; Frankie’s fiancé, Hannah Gilley, 20; and relatives Kenneth Rhoden, 44, and Gary Rhoden, 38.

Angela Wagner pleaded guilty to the following:

  • Conspiracy to commit aggravated murder
  • Aggravated burglary
  • Unlawful possession of a dangerous ordinance
  • Tampering with evidence
  • Forgery
  • Unauthorized use of property

She faces a minimum 30 years in prison.

Angela Wagner’s son, Jake Wagner, pleaded guilty to eight counts of aggravated murder, as well as other charges, in April 2021.

Angela Wagner’s husband, George “Billy” Wagner III and son, George Wagner IV, were also charged in the deaths of eight members of the Rhoden family. They both have previously-scheduled hearings next week, according to WCPO.

As part of her plea deal, she will be required to testify against her family.
