Seven dogs removed from a Dayton home are doing well at the Animal Resource Center in Dayton. We have new video of the dogs and puppies today.

Dayton police and ARC removed three adult dogs and four puppies, estimated at six weeks old, from a house on West Fairview Avenue.

Police found inside evidence of dog fighting, drugs, and weapons.

An animal complaint at a Dayton home revealed that illegal activities, including dog fighting, are potentially occurring at the residence, according to officials.

Dayton police were dispatched to the 700 block of West Fairview Avenue on Sunday morning on reports that a dog had been on the roof for a few days, according to a police report.

No one was at the home when authorities arrived, as it is believed to be vacant, but officers did observe a dog with tan fur that looked to be neglected, and they found a host of other things in and around the home.

There were indications of dog fighting, drug manufacturing, and gun paraphernalia present when officers walked through the residence.

Officials also claimed to smell a strong odor of decomposing flesh, ammonia, and feces, according to the police report.

No word on if any arrests have been made in this matter.

Dayton police continue to investigate the incident.
