Animal Resource Center no longer providing shelter, care for cats

The Animal Resource Center will no longer be providing general shelter and care for cats.

This change is to better serve in their role as Montgomery County’s dog enforcement agency and to direct cats to more suitable resources in the community.

Due to the facilities limited space for cats, housing them has shown to be more detrimental to their well-being because a large portion of cats have gotten ill because of their time in the shelter, resulting in poor outcomes.
