CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Animal CARE is looking for anyone with information about a man who shot a dog on Beekman Street around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to a social media post.

According to CARE, deputies were called to a scene for a report of a gunshot wound to a dog.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a dog with a single gunshot wound to the face with several children covering the dog with a blanket and shielding her from the elements, CARE says.
The dog was brought to a clinic at the shelter where they worked to stop the bleeding and stabilize her, CARE says.
Staff named the dog Lady Bug, and she has since been moved to a foster home.
