WILBERFORCE — Apple is partnering with Central State University to provide coding and creativity opportunities to members of the community.
The partnership is part of Apple’s new Racial Equity and Justice Initiative.
The initiative focuses on challenging systemic barriers to opportunity for communities of color by advancing education, economic equality, and criminal justice reform efforts, stated a media release.
“Central State University, based in Wilberforce, is one of our new HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) partners,” Apple stated.
“They will work closely with k-12 schools, local organizations etc. on coding courses, community coding events and workforce development.”
