MIDDLETOWN — Several families around the Miami Valley have had their families grow on New Year’s Day, including one who welcomed their little one when the ball dropped.

Amie Rossi and James Greenwood, Jr. welcomed their daughter at exactly midnight on Jan. 1, according to a spokesperson for Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.

Their little girl, Rilyn, weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces.
The hospital spokesperson said mom and baby are doing well.
